The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is a non-profit organisation that coordinates the global internet's systems of unique identifiers, including domain names.

ICANN accredits domain name registrars and sets policies that all registrars must follow to ensure the stable and secure operation of the internet's domain name system.

As a domain name registrant, you have the following rights:

• The right to accurate information about your registration

• The right to transfer your domain to another registrar

• The right to an accurate WHOIS record (or privacy protection)

• The right to be notified of material changes to registration terms

• The right to appeal suspension or cancellation decisions

• The right to a dispute resolution process

Your responsibilities as a registrant:

• Provide accurate and current contact information

• Keep your registration information up to date

• Comply with ICANN's Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP)

• Not use the domain for illegal purposes

• Renew your domain before expiry to maintain ownership

ICANN requires accurate WHOIS data for domain registrations:

• You must provide accurate registrant name, address, phone, and email

• Inaccurate WHOIS data may result in domain suspension or cancellation

• WHOIS Privacy Protection replaces your personal data with proxy information — your domain ownership is not affected

ICANN policies on domain transfers:

• Domains may be transferred to another registrar after 60 days of initial registration

• You will receive an authorisation code (EPP code) to transfer your domain

• Transfers must be confirmed by the registrant

• Domain transfers typically take 5–7 days to complete

• You have the right to deny or approve any transfer request

To initiate a transfer away from Azonic:

• Email sales@domainresellerindia.com

• Request the EPP/Auth code for your domain

• Initiate the transfer with your new registrar

ICANN's Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) provides a process to resolve disputes about domain name registrations, particularly in cases of:

• Cybersquatting (registering domains in bad faith)

• Trademark violations

• Domain registration by someone with no legitimate interest

Important information about domain renewals:

• Azonic will send renewal reminders 90, 60, 30, and 7 days before expiry

• It is your responsibility to ensure your contact email is current to receive reminders

• Expired domains enter a grace period (typically 30–45 days) during which renewal is possible at standard price

• After the grace period, domains enter a redemption period — recovery may require additional fees

• After redemption, domains are released for public registration and anyone can register them

Azonic strongly recommends enabling auto-renewal for your domains to prevent accidental loss.
